Children grades 1st- 8th grade are invited and encouraged to join our Children's Christmas Choir. Practices are Tuesdays, 3:15 p.m. - 4:15 p.m. The choir will sing at the Christmas Eve 4:00 p.m. Mass.

Bring a bit of Christmas joy to children in our area. Please take a tag from the Tree of Sharingin the vestibule and return gifts prior to Sunday, December 15 at 1:00 p.m.. We ask that gifts be returned in a gift bag with the tag visible. Please let the office know if you would like to help organize the gifts or deliver them to neighborhood schools.

Parish children are making Christmas cards and parishioners are making cookies for our homebound seniors and residents of the Veterans Home. Let us know if you know someone who would enjoy receiving a card and cookie (or two)!

Poinsettias in honor of a loved one will decorate our church this Christmas. You will find envelopes on the table in the vestibule. Please fill one out and place in the collection basket at Mass or return to the parish office.

Sunday, December 1, 5:00 p.m.: Advent Wreath Blessing and Christmas Tree Lighting (Grotto) Meet at the Grotto at the corner of 18th and Bernard for a special blessing of our new Advent wreath. We will then process down by candlelight to the entrance of the school for the lighting of the Christmas tree. This is a parish, school and neighborhood event, so invite your friends.

Wednesday, December 4, 6:00 p.m.: First Reconciliation (Church)Twenty-four of our children will receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation for the first time this Advent. Please pray that they may receive the healing forgiveness of Christ with great joy!

Thursday, December 5, 6:00 p.m.: Evening with St. Nick (Gym)  Fun and games, and a special visit from St. Nick. Cataldo hosts this fun family event. All are welcome!

Sunday, December 8, 10:00 a.m.: Lighting of the second Advent Candle (Grotto) Between Masses, we will process from the church to the Grotto and light the second Advent candle.

Wednesday, December 11, 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.: Adoration with Confessions. Come spend some time in quiet prayer before our Lord. Several priests will be available for Confessions.

Sunday, December 15 (Gaudete Sunday): Watch the Children's Christmas Play at 10:00 a.m. in the church. The lighting of the third Advent candle will follow the 11:00 a.m. Mass (Grotto). Also, be sure to bring the Jesus figurine from your Nativity to Mass this weekend for a special blessing (all Masses).
